Higher Education, Professional Qualifications, and Careers

University Degrees
State universities offer degrees in business, management, commerce, finance, and economics, some with specializations (accounting, marketing, HR, banking and insurance, business information systems, entrepreneurship). Many also offer Bachelor of Business Administration programmes. Admission is competitive, so check the UGC handbook and the minimum requirements, such as the subject combination (EducationPathway, n.d.; Induwara.lk, n.d.-b). Some commerce degrees accept students from more than one stream.
