10. Images, Presentations, Video, and Audio

Creative AI tools can turn concepts into visual drafts, generate images, prepare slide outlines, create voiceovers, transcribe recordings, and assist with editing. They can accelerate ideation, but the user remains responsible for accuracy, rights, accessibility, and disclosure.

10.1 Images and design

Image-generation tools such as OpenAI image generation, Adobe Firefly, Canva’s AI features, and other design systems can help create concepts, backgrounds, illustrations, and visual variations. Use a clear brief describing subject, audience, composition, style, aspect ratio, and intended use. Check whether the tool’s terms cover commercial use and whether generated content resembles protected works or real people in problematic ways. Inspect small text, hands, diagrams, logos, and factual depictions carefully.

10.2 Presentations

Presentation tools can convert an outline into slides, suggest visual hierarchy, and generate speaker notes. Begin with a clear learning or decision objective. Ask the tool to organise the argument before adding decoration. Check that each slide has one main message, sources are cited, charts are accurate, and the slides remain legible when projected. Do not rely on auto-generated slides without reviewing narrative flow and factual claims.

10.3 Video and audio

AI video and audio services can assist with transcription, subtitles, voiceovers, editing, dubbing, and synthetic media. Verify speaker names, technical terms, timestamps, translations, and captions. Obtain consent before cloning a voice or depicting a real person in synthetic media, and disclose synthetic content where appropriate. Never use synthetic media to impersonate someone, fabricate evidence, or mislead an audience.

10.4 Diagrams and infographics

For diagrams that must be editable, structured, or mathematically precise, use tools that preserve editable shapes or source code rather than relying only on a raster image. Review all labels, arrows, relationships, units, and sources. A beautiful infographic can still encode a false relationship.
