As a Professor of Doctoral Studies, I have a particular interest in the development of doctoral researchers and the advancement of scholarly research.

One of the continuing themes underlying my academic and literary work is the relationship between education and human development.

Education is more than the accumulation of qualifications. Knowledge can provide individuals with the ability to understand their circumstances, question assumptions, solve problems, participate meaningfully in society, and contribute to the development of their communities.

At the same time, knowledge carries responsibility.

The more knowledge individuals and institutions possess, the greater the responsibility to use that knowledge ethically and constructively.

This principle is reflected throughout many of my academic and literary interests.

Faith, Theology and Christian Reflection

Another important dimension of my writing is the study of Christian faith, theology, Scripture, ethics, human suffering, hope, purpose, and spiritual development.

These writings seek to engage with questions that have concerned humanity for generations:

• Where can people find hope during difficult circumstances?
• What does faith mean in everyday life?
• How should knowledge and wisdom influence human conduct?

Interdisciplinary Scholarship

Many of today's most important problems cannot be understood adequately through a single discipline.

Questions concerning artificial intelligence, education, energy, economics, business, data, governance, social development, ethics, and human wellbeing frequently overlap.

For this reason, my academic and writing interests are deliberately interdisciplinary.

I seek to explore how different fields of knowledge can communicate with one another and how academic research can be connected to practical problems in the real world.
